The following is a statement from the family of Pat Caputo, the longtime Metro Detroit sports columnist and sports personality who died Thursday after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Included is what the family says is “the goodbye he wants to leave for the people who wrote alongside him, the people who shared the microphone with him, the people who listened, and the people who read his work.”
