BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Rain chances will remain through Monday with periods of heavy rainfall remaining possible.
HEAVY RAIN POTENTIAL
Pockets of heavy rain will remain possible over the next 3 days. Rain will be most widespread and persistent today.
FutureCast shows continuing showers and t-storms into the afternoon and evening today. Outdoor plans will be tough to fit in with this rain coverage.
The primary weather concern will be street flooding. Flooding will be very localized to hardest hit areas that could receive multiple inches of rain. We also can’t rule out a strong storm or two with gusty winds and possible hail.
Rain amounts through Monday will range based on exactly where the heaviest rain occurs. Expect an additional 1-3″ of rain on top of what we’ve already scene. Localized bullseyes of 4-6″ will be possible. Flood prone areas (low lying, poorly drained spots) will continue to see standing water through the weekend…
