KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – When you think about Tennessee’s pitching staff that is number one in the nation, a lot of credit goes to the arms, but just as much credit needs to go to the one who’s behind the plate.

For Tennessee, that is true freshman Elsa Morrison. Morrison is a Knoxville native who moved to Farragut from Indiana her sophomore year of high school. She made an impact for the Admirals, and she’s already making a huge impact for the Lady Volunteers.
“You can’t say enough about the opportunity and the growth that she’s had being able to catch the number one pitching staff in the country,” Elsa’s mom Beth Morrison said. “I mean, there’s just no way that you cannot get better having that experience. So yeah, she’s been thrown into the fire, but I think that she’s really embraced that and, you know, kind of done all that she can do to take advantage of the opportunities that she’s been given.”…
