Suspensions, lawsuits and prevention efforts: CSULB tackles hazing culture

One year ago, three Long Beach State students returning from a fraternity hazing retreat got into a fatal crash in Temecula.

The crash resulted in a totaled SUV and the death of 19-year-old freshman Preston Obeidin. The surviving students, Diego Collins and Camilo Losada, have filed two lawsuits, both naming Long Beach State as well as the local chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
