Hall Co. to hold celebration for Mental Health Awareness, America’s 250th birthday

The Hall County Government and its Board of Commissioners will soon host a free event to celebrate America’s 250th birthday and Mental Health Awareness Month.

The tandem celebration will be held on Friday, May 29th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hall County Government Center.

“This is a first-of-its-kind for Hall County Government,” Board of Commissioners’ Chairman David Gibbs said. “We’re bringing the community together to celebrate 250 years of American independence while also highlighting the importance of mental health and well-being as a critical part of a strong community. It’s an opportunity to connect, have fun, and support one another as a community.”

The event will feature live music from local band GoodFolk, a variety of food trucks and activities including a petting zoo and face painting. The County said attendees will also get the chance to connect with government departments and local organizations that offer mental health resources…
