‘National Salvation Army Week’ starts this Monday

HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) – The Salvation Army in Western Kentucky is joining communities across the nation in celebrating National Salvation Army Week, which is from May 11 through May 17. It’s a time dedicated to recognizing the organization’s mission, history, and year-round service to neighbors in need.

National Salvation Army Week was first proclaimed in 1954 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who encouraged Americans to recognize the organization’s positive impact and to support its work in their own communities.
