DEL MAR, Calif. — A Del Mar artist has transformed her love of painting into a thriving business by creating more than 2,000 custom pet portraits over the past 13 years. Jill Williams found her calling late in life and now paints commissioned portraits of animals ranging from common household pets to exotic creatures, working from photographs that customers submit to her studio.
