A few hours after the Cap Times reported on One City Schools’ efforts this spring to secure more public funding, the charter school’s CEO Kaleem Caire sought to assuage staff and volunteers.
“One City is not closing,” he wrote in an April 29 email obtained by the Cap Times. “Not now, not next year, not in any scenario being discussed. The article describes the funding fight in front of us, and that fight is real. But our school is solid.”
