W.E.B. DuBois Academy issues statement on Louisville man arrested in Cherokee Park indecent exposure charges

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A Louisville man connected to athletic programs at W.E.B. DuBois Academy was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, according to court records and a message sent to families.

59-year-old Gregory Mack was arrested on May 8 at his home on Petty Jay Rd. on charges of indecent exposure stemming from incidents at Cherokee Park in the Highlands area of Louisville.

In a letter dated May 11, 2026, from DuBois Academy Principal Dr. Monica Hunter-Kirby to “Golf and Soccer Families,” she said an adult affiliated with the school’s athletic programs had become the subject of community concerns. The principal said students had questions Monday morning, and school staff met with student-athletes in the golf and soccer programs to provide support and ensure students “felt safe and heard.”

The principal wrote the individual “has been removed from involvement with our programs and will no longer have access to Jefferson County Public Schools facilities or events.”…
