Clayton PD taps Duran as community service officer

CLAYTON — The Clayton Police Department has named Miguel Duran as its new community service officer, a role focused on strengthening relationships between officers and the public.

Duran succeeds veteran Officer Dustin Johnson, who retired after more than 30 years in law enforcement.

“This town has been part of my journey, and I am proud to be part of it,” Duran said, noting he has lived in Clayton for more than 20 years and joined the department in 2007 after previously working in a nearby town. “Serving here has become more than a job. It is part of who I am.”…
