SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – A road in Southport will be closed to traffic as work continues on the city’s weather tower.
Officials say E. Bay Street between S. Davis Street and S. Atlantic Avenue will be closed Tuesday, May 12, to allow a crane to raise and install a new weather tower.
Waterfront Park parking along Bay Street will remain open. Drivers will be encouraged to make a right turn onto E. Bay Street to help reduce traffic during the closure…
