Residents rescued from apartment fire that hospitalized multiple people

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Multiple people were hospitalized Monday following a multi-residential fire in Mountain View, according to the Anchorage Fire Department.

AFD stated it was working on a two-alarm fire. An online alert that went out to the public showed an address on North Klevin Street, between Parson Avenue and Thompson Avenue.

As of 11:34 a.m., multiple patients were evaluated on scene, while some were transported to area hospitals for further evaluation and treatment, according to the fire department.

Travis Brown, who lives in the apartment building next to the one that caught fire, told Alaska’s News Source on Monday afternoon that he was taking out the trash in the early morning when he saw “a lot of smoke” coming out of a window and one of his neighbors running out with her son…
