GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A fish market under new ownership in Guilderland is celebrating its reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Fin – Your Fishmonger, located on Western Avenue, is set to start its new chapter on May 13 at 10 a.m.

Chris and Erika Thompson purchased Fin – Your Fishmonger in 2025 from founders Pete Kenyon and Dora Swan, who is Erika’s sister. The business began at the Delmar Farmers Market in 2010 before opening the storefront in 2012.
Since the change of ownership, the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce said that the Thompsons has created new offerings and enhancements while keeping the trusted fresh seafood sourced from Boston’s Fish Pier.
The ribbon-cutting commemorates the legacy of Kenyon and Swan. There will also be several speeches from local and elected officials, including Guilderland Town Supervisor Peter Barber, Albany County Legislator Mark Grimm, and others…
