COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Students who live in the University District near Ohio State’s campus are on edge as police work to figure out whether two armed robberies and assaults are connected.
“I live right here, and I saw all the cop cars and ambulances,” said Mason Williams, a rising senior at OSU.
Columbus police said they are investigating two armed robberies that took place this past weekend across the street from campus. The first occurred on Saturday, May 9, at 1:15 a.m. near North High Street and East 13th Avenue. The second happened Sunday, May 10, at about 3:30 a.m. along Chittenden Avenue near North High Street.
