A pair of teens were arrested late Monday, police said, after they allegedly carjacked two women in Northeast Philadelphia before crashing the stolen vehicle during a police chase.
According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the incident unfolded at about 10:50 p.m. on Monday night after two armed teens — aged 15 and 16 — pointed a gun and carjacked a Jeep Grand Cherokee from two women along the 2100 block of Longshore Avenue in Northeast Philly.
Shortly after the incident, Small said, one of the victims contacted police and described the vehicle. He said with that information, officers were able to track down the Jeep within about 15 to 20 minutes later…
