ANN ARBOR, MI — The city of Ann Arbor and Downtown Development Authority are hosting a series of community meetings May 19-21 to gather input on design concepts for a redesign of North Main Street.
The three-day Design Week series marks the next phase of the North Main Street Transportation Study, a one-year effort exploring ways to improve safety and mobility along the corridor between Huron Street and West Huron River Drive. The city and DDA are conducting the study with Toole Design.
Design concepts developed from earlier community feedback include reducing vehicle travel lanes, adding roundabouts and improving sidewalks, lighting and landscaping.
The project team will present the concepts during Design Week and collect additional public input…
