Woman pleads no contest to gross vehicular manslaughter in Hwy 178 deadly crash

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 28-year-old woman has pleaded no contest to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated in connection to a crash that killed the occupant of a car parked on the shoulder of Highway 178.

Hisa Ann Castillo entered the no contest plea Tuesday and two counts of DUI causing injury and a misdemeanor count of driving on a suspended or revoked license were dismissed, according to court records.
