Madison man sentenced to prison for possessing a firearm as a felon

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A Madison man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison after being caught with a firearm as a convicted felon.

Marcus Brinkley, 23, was arrested during a controlled delivery of narcotics, officials said. Officers found a handgun in Brinkley’s hotel room, which he was not allowed to have due to prior convictions.

The charge was the result of an investigation by the Dane County Narcotics Task Force and the ATF Madison Crime Gun Task Force, including federal agents from ATF as well as task force officers from state and local agencies…
