Authorities Apprehend Inmate Who Walked Away from Mojave Desert Conservation Camp

A 41-year-old inmate who walked away from a conservation camp in the Mojave Desert in Los Angeles County is back behind bars Wednesday after he was apprehended by corrections authorities.

Francisco Cervantes was taken into custody in Fontana by California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Office of Correctional Safety special agents without incident at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, the department announced.
