WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York State Police (NYSP) arrested a Queens man last week in connection to a scam investigation in the Capital Region. Roger Flemming, 29, is facing felony charges.
Troopers responded to a home in Saratoga County on May 6 after receiving a report from an elderly resident who believed they had been the victim of a scam. According to State Police, Flemming is accused of calling the resident and claiming that one of the victim’s family members was arrested after a car crash and supposedly needed money for bail.
Flemming allegedly then drove to the victim’s home and accepted $3,000 in cash from the person in accordance with the scam. NYSP stated that Flemming was taken into custody the next day after returning to the victim’s home while reportedly trying to collect another payment…
