Platte County burglary suspects caught on camera

PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. – Three people face felony charges following an April 20 burglary in Platte County.

According to a probable cause statement, Jonathan Sage Collins, 32, Brandon Keith Kleihauer, 29, and Alicia Deseree Esparza were observed loading a four-wheeler, generator and other items onto a trailer while Collins carried a shotgun. Collins also reportedly stole one of the security cameras.

Kansas City Police later arrived at Collins’ residence at the request of the Platte County Sheriff’s Office, where Collins fled in a pickup truck. Investigators linked the group to the burglary through convenience store security footage and an interview with Collins’ girlfriend.
