SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – A community meeting on a proposed housing development in Sparks drew a large crowd to Hug High School Wednesday night. Developers spoke to community members about the plans to add more housing to the area around Red Hawk Golf and Resort. Many people held signs in opposition to the the proposed construction of 800 new homes in the Wingfield Springs and Foothills areas.
People who attended the meeting were given the opportunity to speak about the project. The majority of people who spoke oppose the development.
