Jury finds Mario Jackson guilty on all counts in Anchorage double-murder trial

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A jury has found Mario Jackson guilty on all six counts in the murders of Sheila Agarchuk and Bobby Deloach, capping a trial in which Jackson took the stand in his own defense and denied being the shooter seen in surveillance footage of the killings.

Jackson, 36, was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder and four counts of second-degree murder in the Oct. 17, 2025, shootings near the American Red Cross building in Anchorage. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

What charging documents allege

According to charging documents, Anchorage police began receiving 911 calls around 8:20 p.m. Oct. 17, 2025, reporting numerous gunshots near the Red Cross building at 235 E. Eighth Ave. Callers reported a bike in the road, a woman screaming and a man on the ground. Officers found shell casings in the roadway and located two people dead with apparent gunshot wounds to the head in an alcove outside an apartment building at 210 E. Seventh Ave., the documents say.

Security video captured a Black man dressed in black with long dreadlocks under a cap, a large speaker strapped to his chest and an electric scooter nearby, according to the documents. The woman can be heard pleading “please stop” and saying “Mario, stop,” and a man’s voice can also be heard pleading, the documents say…
