MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The family member of a former ARC of Montgomery resident is speaking out after the organization abruptly shut down- relocating all of its residents without warning.
Robin Litaker’s sister, Susan, has lived at ARC of Montgomery’s Handicapped Environmental Living Program on Milton Road for around 30 years. On May 5, Litaker, who lives in Birmingham, received a phone call from a former employee of the facility who told her she needed to get to Montgomery- fast.
“I drove down as quick as I could,” Litaker said. “And I am not exaggerating, that’s one of the worst things I’ve ever seen in my entire life.”…
