Authorities in Southern California are urging residents to inspect their yards after hidden cameras were discovered during burglary investigations in the San Gabriel Valley.
Deputies responding to a burglary call on Tuesday in San Dimas found a concealed surveillance device in the bushes across from a residence on the 800 block of Via Gregorio. The device included a hidden camera, a portable hotspot, and an external battery pack, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
In a similar incident about a week earlier, a landscaper in the same neighborhood discovered another suspicious device hidden in hedges while trimming vegetation. This device was a cellphone connected to a power bank, wrapped in green camouflage tape with fake plants attached, as reported by the Sheriff’s Department.
