A new daily summer route is coming to Soldotna, with Yute Commuter Service operating a Soldotna–Anchorage flight beginning June 1. The Bethel-based airline provides scheduled passenger and cargo services throughout the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta and beyond.
Yute Finance Director Jason Brown said the airline has been considering service to and from Soldotna’s municipal airport (SXQ) for quite some time. “We met with the city a little while ago, and they said, ‘yeah, that sounds great, get after it,” Brown said.
