Lafayette Police are currently investigating a serious crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle along the 1000 block of Camellia Boulevard.
According to authorities, the incident happened in a heavily traveled stretch of roadway near Johnston Street, prompting an immediate response from Lafayette Police Traffic Investigators.

Lafayette Police say a preliminary investigation shows the crash happened when a vehicle attempted to turn left onto northbound Camellia Boulevard from Woods Crossing at the same time a bicyclist was crossing Camellia from east to west. The operator of the e-bike remains in critical but stable condition. Authorities also confirmed that all roadways in the area have since reopened, though the investigation is still ongoing.
