KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Independence Police are investigating a serious-injury crash involving two vehicles that happened during a police pursuit Saturday afternoon.
Police say the crash occurred around 4:41 p.m. at the intersection of Lee’s Summit Road and Truman Road. Investigators say a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe fleeing officers was traveling northbound on Lee’s Summit Road when the driver crossed into the oncoming southbound lanes and entered the intersection at E. Truman Road, striking a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander traveling eastbound.
The impact caused the Outlander to overturn in the intersection, injuring all four occupants. All four were taken to local hospitals, and police say two are being treated for serious, life-threatening injuries…
