Pool company sues Webster Groves for $600K in unpaid work

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – A swimming pool building company has sued the City of Webster Groves, claiming that they are owed $636,000 in unpaid work on a new aquatic center that opened last year.

According to a lawsuit filed April 28 in St. Louis County Circuit Court, Westport Pools, LLC, which does business as Landmark Aquatic, claims the city breached their contract during construction on a swimming pool project at the Webster Groves Recreation Complex that cost about $12 million.

The company alleges the city caused repeated delays from the start of the project, including postponing initial design meetings and requesting significant revisions on the design of the aquatic center’s bathhouse, waterslides, seating areas, and shade structures. The lawsuit claims those changes delayed the project by weeks and forced Landmark Aquatic and its subcontractors to perform more work outside of what was agreed upon in the original contract…
