What began as a controlled debris burn turned into a massive fire at an Alexandria auto repair and salvage yard Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters were summoned to the scene at 152 Shady Lane at 3:42 p.m.
Chief Donny Green says the Alexandria Fire Department quickly responded and found several inoperable vehicles in the salvage yard heavily involved in flames. A total of 13 automobiles in all had been in the fire…
