An Eagle Police deputy was injured early May 18th after stopping a 15-year-old riding an electric motorcycle in what police described as a reckless and escalating encounter on W. Chinden Boulevard, according to the Eagle Police Department.
At about 12:10 a.m., the deputy was driving eastbound on W. Chinden Blvd. when he saw an individual riding an electric motorcycle westbound. As the rider passed, authorities say the deputy noticed the motorcycle had a headlight but no taillight.
On social media, the Eagle Police Department shared the deputy turned around and began following the rider and saw the rider’s driving become “increasingly reckless and erratic” as the rider accelerated, swerved between lanes and drove into oncoming traffic.
