Firefighters battle flames at Leaburg manufactured home

LEABURG, Ore. – McKenzie Fire & Rescue responded to a manufactured home fire in Leaburg on Sunday evening, according to fire officials.

Authorities said that fire crews responded at about 6 p.m. on May 17 to a reported house fire in which responding crews saw smoke coming from the roof and attic space. Flames were beginning to show through the roof and firefighters also found a significant amount of fire at the rear of the home and began an aggressive extinguishment effort, MFR officials said. Vehicles in the driveway made it unclear if anyone was inside. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office quickly contacted the homeowner, who confirmed no one was home at the time of the fire.
