FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — First responders blocked off all westbound lanes on Interstate 70 in Frederick County after a tanker truck overturned, causing a heavy fuel spill.
The collision took place just before Exit 59 near Route 75.
The Frederick County Fire and Rescue Department said crews were dispatched around 2:20 a.m. on May 18, where a tanker truck hauling 7,700 gallons of diesel fuel crashed and landed on its side.
Crews rescued the driver. It is unknown if they were hurt.
