NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Students in South Carolina’s culinary programs at technical colleges will soon have an in-state path to continue their education after lawmakers approved four-year bachelor’s degrees at technical colleges.

“This has been a long time coming. It’s been 18, 19 years since the first time we attempted to have a four-year degree here at the college,” said Nathan Rex, dean of the Culinary Institute of Charleston at Trident Technical College.
