Baldwin County school custodian turns student’s desk art into book

FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — Cleaning up after students every day, custodian Audrey Bridges may go unnoticed, but she sees just about everything. In particular, one desk in a fourth-grade classroom was covered in pencil drawings every day.

“Honestly, at first I was like Oh man, because it is sometimes hard to get the stuff off the desk,” said Bridges.

She had to clean it, and the artwork would disappear forever.

“Every day I was like, no, I have to erase this, and it did, just broke my heart,” said Bridges.

The artist is 11-year-old Wes Bobo of Magnolia Elementary School. He created all those drawings.
