LADUE, Mo. — A St. Louis woman is facing multiple charges after investigators say she set fire inside of a Ladue church, and punched an officer in the face after being taken into custody.
According to the Ladue Police Department, officers responded just after 3:30 p.m. on May 8 to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on N. Warson Road after church staff smelled smoke coming from the back of the church.
Police said a rug on the altar had been burned, damaging the wood floor underneath it. Two plants and a stack of church pamphlets were also burned, with one plant still smoking when officers arrived…
