Police investigating possibility of counterfeit currency scheme spanning Lehigh Valley, after forged $100 bill seized from vehicle in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police say they seized a counterfeit $100 bill from a vehicle in Allentown earlier this month, leading them to believe there could be a larger counterfeit currency scheme.

Troopers conducted a traffic stop on May 5 on a vehicle on Union Boulevard in Allentown suspected to be involved in numerous thefts, according to a news release from state police.
