(FOX40.COM) – The Sacramento Fire Department is investigating the cause of an early morning fire that destroyed two apartment units. Calls about a fire at Greenhaven Oaks Apartments in Sacramento started coming in just after 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Battalion Chief Keith Wade told FOX40 that everyone from both units, including children, made it out safely. The fire is believed to have started in the bottom unit before engulfing the unit above and spreading into the attic.
“We arrived very fast. Our firehouse that we live in is right around the corner. Upon arrival, a huge wall of flames was way up on the outside of the building working its way in,” Battalion Chief Wade said…
