An 18-year-old Staten Island man has been arrested after Nassau County detectives say he used fraudulent identification to steal nearly $97,000 worth of packages from a FedEx location in Hicksville.
According to Nassau County police, Denys Hryshchenko entered the FedEx store at 25 Newbridge Road on April 23 and used fake identification to retrieve two packages valued at approximately $97,000 before leaving the scene.
Detectives with the Electronics Squad Fraud & Forgery Unit launched an investigation following the theft. After what police described as a thorough investigation, Hryshchenko was arrested without incident on Monday, May 18, at approximately 7:05 a.m…
