Buncombe County Parks & Recreation and Asheville Parks & Recreation (APR) are ready to make a splash as local pools prepare for summer. Buncombe County’s Cane Creek, Erwin, Hominy Valley, North Buncombe, and Owen pools, as well as APR’s Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside Community Center pool, will all open on Saturday, May 23.
While Asheville City and Buncombe County schools are still in session through Wednesday, June 10, pools will be closed on weekdays. However, all pools will be open on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day.
Cane Creek, Hominy Valley, North Buncombe, and Owen pools close for the season on Sunday, August 9. Erwin Pool and Grant Southside Center Pool close for the season on Monday, September 7 and will be open on weekends only after Sunday, August 23.

- Saturday: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Sunday: 1-6 p.m.
- Monday-Friday: 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
