Florida fugitive on the run for 15 years caught in Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Florida man who has been on the run for 15 years was apprehended in Linden, Tennessee, on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Marshals say Perry Hand, 69, was arrested on warrants issued in 2011 in the Circuit Court of Bay County, Florida.

Those included failure to appear for possession of a firearm by a violent career criminal, two counts of sale of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, sale of marijuana, and trafficking hydrocodone.

After receiving information that Hand was possibly in Tennessee, agents and task force officers said they tracked him down and discovered he was living at an RV park in Linden, Tennessee.

Hand was immediately taken into custody and transported to the Perry County Jail…
