JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with the Jackson Hinds Library System (JHLS) said the Medgar Evers Library branch will remain temporarily closed due to ongoing HVAC cooling issues, but officials hope the facility could reopen by mid- to late summer.

Jeanne Williams, executive director of the JHLS, said the City of Jackson has been working with vendors to resolve the issue, and contractor Johnson Controls is expected to begin repairs in June.
