None injured in car accident involving police officer in west San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO — No one was injured when a San Antonio police officer responding to a robbery call on the west side crashed into a car that had gotten in its way, law enforcement officials said.

The officer in question had her lights and sirens on moments before the accident at West Commerce and South General McMullen. A KENS 5 crew on the scene noticed an SAPD unit with front-end damage and another car with damage to the passenger side.

An SAPD officer at the scene said a woman believed to be in her 20s was detained after the initial robbery call because she was found to have outstanding municipal court warrants…
