LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A former Lakewood police officer has been arrested on official misconduct and cybercrime charges.
Arapahoe County deputies arrested Christopher Gearhart, 42, Tuesday at his home, the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office said. He was taken to jail and given a $20,000 personal recognizance bond.
Prosecutors said an investigation found evidence that Gearhart intentionally muted his body-worn camera during an arrest, and that he conducted unauthorized searches for records in the Criminal Justice Information System…
