LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Electric Daisy Carnival ended less than 48 hours ago, and we’re already learning about some major changes coming for next year – namely, that it is expanding to 12 days.
Insomniac, the company that runs EDC, announced in a press release the new expanded plans on Tuesday evening.

Billed as “Dusk Till Dawn,” the two-weekend festival will feature a variety of changes. The first weekend, May 14, 15 and 16, will be called EDC Dusk, while the second weekend, May 21, 22 and 23, will be called EDC Dawn. People who wish to attend the whole event can get “Dusk Till Dawn Experience” passes.
“I’m really excited to introduce ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ as the next evolution of EDC and offer new ways for Headliners to experience the music, art, connection and community that make this festival so special,” Insomniac Founder Pasquale Rotella said in the announcement. “We wanted to reimagine EDC as a new type of immersive journey across 12 days and two consecutive weekend celebrations in one city we love. This concept gives Headliners the freedom to choose their own path and join us for one or both weekends, while enabling us to continue evolving, experimenting creatively, and sharing new moments Under the Electric Sky.”
As part of the announcement, Insomniac said the festival is designed to have a lower capacity moving forward, which will allow attendees more space to move around and hopefully ease congestion between sets as people flow from one stage to another…
