Amtrak Resumes Service Between NY and PA After Suspension Due to Fires

Amtrak service has resumed between New York and Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon after two fires near the tracks in North Philadelphia prompted a shutdown of all train service

Amtrak Northeast announced the update in a post on X, saying, “Trains will still experience delays due to single tracking near Philadelphia (PHL) area. We sincerely apologize for the delay and inconvenience this may have caused.”
