One arrested after guns, drugs found during McClain County traffic stop

McCLAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – A man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges after guns and drugs were found during a traffic stop, officials say.

According to the District 21 District Attorney’s Office, David Murphy was stopped by the Newcastle Police Department on December 21, 2025.

During the stop, officers found firearms, suspected illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia and a digital scale.

Murphy is facing charges of:

  • Aggravated Trafficking in Illegal Drugs
  • Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of a Firearm After Former Felony Conviction

The case is still under investigation by the Newcastle Police Department…
