Officer suspended indefinitely after video shows alleged assaults on handcuffed prisoner

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio police officer has been suspended indefinitely after body camera footage and jail surveillance video showed him repeatedly striking and threatening a handcuffed prisoner during an arrest and later inside the city jail.

Officer Jonathan T. Guerra was indefinitely suspended without pay on March 2 following an Internal Affairs investigation into the September 2025 incident, according to disciplinary records.
