Legion Field could help stop violence at Birmingham school alumni events, police chief says

Summer in Birmingham is synonymous with high school alumni events, and Police Chief Michael Pickett is working with city and school officials to try to ward off any potential danger at the beloved celebrations.

It’s been nearly a year since a woman was seriously injured when she was caught in crossfire during an alumni gathering at Woodlawn High School.
