Wrong-way driver, 93, dies after Moanalua Freeway off-ramp crash

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – On Wednesday, the Honolulu police Traffic Division was notified by the Medical Examiner’s Office that the 93-year-old driver involved in a crash earlier in May had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

This is the 15th traffic fatality of 2026, as compared to 30 at the same time in 2025.
